Golf For Kids Sake Event Recap (by Leila Bautista and Michelle Boylan)
Our Annual Golf For Kids Sake event took place on a sunny fall day, October 12th, after it was rescheduled due to Hurricane Fiona. With team spots sold out, there was great enthusiasm and energy! Golfers and hole sponsors made their way to River Oaks Golf Course where they were greeted with McDonald’s coffee and muffins, and East Side Mario’s breakfast boxes to start the morning.
The fan-favourite putting games, such as marshmallow shoot, 50/50 target shoot, putting green, were also a hit. With products, photos, refreshments and snacks – our hole sponsors helped bring even more fun to the day. Golfers enjoyed lunch provided by Subway Fall River.
Many golfers and teams left the event with door prizes donated by our generous community supporters. Throughout the day, golfers also had the chance to submit their bids for the great prizes at our Blind Auction.
