Ways to Give
Many young people struggle with societal barriers and face adversities such as mental health issues, family violence, identity issues or poor living conditions. Your donation will lead to healthy, thriving youth who can achieve more.
Partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters and build your brand through cause-related marketing campaigns. The ideas are endless, and could include point-of-sale customer engagement, program sponsorship, team-building event participation or growth development grants.
The things you no longer need can be turned into funding for programs to help youth facing adversity. We accept clothing, accessories, linens, small household items and more. Click to learn more.
May 5 & 12, 2023 – Bowl For Kids Sake is a great way to turn your office team builder into a party for a cause. It’s is our signature fundraising campaign, typically involving about 500 community members implementing a “peer-to-peer” method of gathering pledges.
TRIBUTE & MEMORIAL GIFTS
Honour a friend, mentor, or family member with a gift in their honour. If a loved one has recently passed, a gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters is a thoughtful way to honour their memory.
We will send a personalized acknowledgement of the donation to the loved one or family member, and a tax receipt will be sent to you. Make a gift in honour of someone special online or contact us.
Big Brothers Big Sisters greatly appreciates in-kind contributions from our partners. Examples of in-kind donations can include:
- Event tickets, free activities/camps for youth
- Gift certificates to restaurants and retail locations
- Merchandise suitable for use as event prizes or auction items
- Business services (marketing, administrative, technology, consulting)
A planned gift through designation in a will or the donation of investments or insurance policy proceeds are all ways a donor can leave a legacy.
A member of our staff would be pleased to discuss the options for this manner of giving.
